Depends on company policy! Turbo VPN use may violate IT policies. Why companies restrict VPNs: security concern (could hide malware), prevents monitoring (they want to track all activity), bandwidth concerns, potential policy violations. Before using VPN at work: check employee handbook for VPN policy, ask IT department directly (better to ask than apologize), understand consequences (warning, termination, legal action?), evaluate if worth the risk. Alternatives if VPN banned: use phone with mobile data for personal browsing, wait until after work for private activities, request policy clarification if overly restrictive. If VPN allowed or not explicitly banned: only use on personal device, only during designated break times, don't access company resources through VPN, keep work and personal completely separate. I work at company that banned third-party VPNs - they provide company VPN for work purposes, personal VPN seen as security risk. I use phone on 4G for personal stuff instead. If working remotely on company computer, VPN likely violates IT security policies even if well-intentioned. Company computers aren't private property - assume everything monitored. Use personal devices for personal VPN use.
